Further information on what equipment you will need to attend the event online.
You will need a computer or mobile device (tablet, smart mobile phone) connected to the internet, with access to a browser (e.g. Chrome, Firefox, Edge, Safari).
Ideally, speakers (or headphones), a webcam and a microphone will allow you to interact with the speakers and discussion group. But there is technically no need for attendees to have a camera, as long as they have speakers. They will still be able to watch and hear the presentations. They will be able to type questions and engage with us that way if they lack a microphone. As such, you do not strictly need a camera or a microphone to still be able to engage.
The event will be handled via Zoom. A full breakdown of system requirements is available here. Zoom can run through people’s web browsers but they can also download the desktop version here and register a free account if they wish. Zoom is a low-impact package which means it should work on the vast majority of systems without too much trouble.
